Remember life before Pinterest? It was a life of magazine subscriptions and recipe boxes. One filled with newspaper clippings and no one to share cooking fails with but the garbage. Now, we've got virtual mood boards for literally everything — the baby shower we're throwing, the kitchen counters we're refinishing, the roast chicken that must impress our new mother-in-law, or else. Pinterest's been taking note of all those pins: The site just released its Home Report for 2017, with a section dedicated to food, cooking, and kitchen solutions, and it's got our creative juices a-flowin'. Coffee Bar Command Center

This might be the secret to being the most productive person in the world. People jonesing to start their day with a cup of joe are building entire stations around coffee, filled with everything else they need to get their day going: mugs, sugar, a toaster and a bread box. It's like a souped-up back counter of a Starbucks — without that mouth-breather impatiently waiting for you to put the skim milk down.

Cast Iron Cookware

True chefs will tell you that nonstick is not where it's at: cast iron is. It can withstand really high temperatures, lasts a whole lot longer than the cheap stuff you've been buying from the superstore down the street, and looks beautiful enough to leave out on display.
