It's hard to imagine a bad cookie, never mind a less-than-stellar Pepperidge Farm cookie. The company has been cranking out sweet treats in their product line since the 1950s, but there are definitely some that are a more beloved than others. But are the well-known sweet faves really the best that Pepperidge Farm has to offer? Because if we were picking from all of Pepperidge Farm products, the Goldfish cracker would be a real contender for the top spot.

We did the tough job of sampling every kind of Pepperidge Farm cookie we could get our hands on, and we’ve found a few that you’ve likely been overlooking. Here are our favorites in order, so you know what you need to add to your cookie jar ASAP.

Pepperidge Farm 18. Orange Flavored Chocolate Milano Cookies

18. Orange Flavored Chocolate Milano Cookies

There are a lot of flavors of Milano out there and despite the fact that the fruity ones seem like a good idea, they just don’t hit the same note as the original. The crispy cookies usually have a thin layer of chocolate coupled with lemon, orange, strawberry or some seasonal fare, but the addition of the other flavor just confuses the goodness that is a Milano. And in our opinion? The orange is a particularly poor pairing.

17. Brussels Lace Cookies

These cookies are passable, but really, if you are looking for a thin sandwich treat with chocolate in the middle, just grab Milanos instead.

Pepperidge Farm 16. Verona Strawberry Cookies

16. Verona Strawberry Cookies

If you are craving a bit of fruit in your cookies, instead of the odd flavored Milanos, your better bet is the Verona, which comes in blueberry, strawberry, cherry, and apricot-raspberry.  Combining one of their butter cookies with a jelly-like filling in the middle, these cookies are fine but still skippable, unless you really like cherry-flavored things.

Pepperidge Farm 15. Bordeaux Cookies

15. Bordeaux Cookies

One of the original cookies offered from Pepperidge Farm, the Bordeaux recipe was brought over from Brussels (not, ahem, Bordeaux). These buttery cookies are extra crispy, so they have almost a slightly burnt caramel flavor. People love them, but they are very dry.

Pepperidge Farm 14. Gingerman

14. Gingerman

If you like a ginger snap, these are totally fine, but they aren't exactly a game-changer.

13. Santa Cruz Oatmeal Raisin

An oatmeal cookie isn't for everyone, but if you are gonna eat one, this soft-baked version is a solid option.

Pepperidge Farm 12. Montauk Milk Chocolate

12. Montauk Milk Chocolate

Looking for a soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie? Look no further. This is a good staple if you are a fan of the slightly underbaked style, but it’s nothing particularly unique.

8

Pepperidge Farm 11. Mackinac Oatmeal Milk Chocolate

11. Mackinac Oatmeal Milk Chocolate

This oatmeal milk chocolate gives off that slightly healthy vibe, while still delivering the rich satisfaction of a soft-baked chocolate chip. It’s a confusing cookie, but in the best kind of way.

Pepperidge Farm 10. Geneva

10. Geneva

Included with the Chocolate Collection of cookies, this oval-shaped cookie is dipped in chocolate and then sprinkled with pecans. The crispy delight packs a lot of flavor into a small bite.

10

Pepperidge Farm 9. Farmhouse Thin & Crispy Toffee Milk Chocolate

9. Farmhouse Thin & Crispy Toffee Milk Chocolate

If ooey-gooey chunk cookies aren't your thing, these refined toffee cookies are a great alternative. Their thin crispiness is almost like a Tate’s cookie, and they come in a host of other flavors like butter pecan and white chocolate chip.

Pepperidge Farm 8. Milano Mint Chocolate or Salted Caramel

8. Milano Mint Chocolate or Salted Caramel

While the fruitier Milanos don't make the grade, these sweeter treats are pretty terrific.

12

Pepperidge Farm 7. Lisbon

7. Lisbon

It's really a good thing that the Lisbons seem to only be available as part of the cookie collections, as a bag of these would disappear instantly. These swirled cookies have bits of chocolate in them, and then are half-dipped in more chocolate.

Pepperidge Farm 6. Dublin Shortbread

6. Dublin Shortbread

Those buttery delicious Royal Dansk cookies that come in the blue tins are a holiday staple, but somehow these delicious treats are even softer and yummier. If you’ve been sleeping on these, you’ll want to put them into your year-round rotation.

14

Pepperidge Farm 5. Pirouette

5. Pirouette

It’s hard to really call the wafer thin bites a cookie, as they are almost an inside out chocolate bar.  But this treat satisfies any sweet tooth, with a solid chocolate hazelnut middle that's coated with a thin cookie layer. It's also available with a center of French vanilla or chocolate fudge. The dainty shape is perfect for stirring up your hot beverage.

Pepperidge Farm 4. Nantucket

4. Nantucket

If you can find the "double chocolate" version? Grab them. The regular dark chocolate flavor is good, but who doesn’t want their chocolate doubled?

16

Pepperidge Farm 3. Tahoe White Chocolate Macadamia

3. Tahoe White Chocolate Macadamia

It’s a pretty close toss-up between the White Chocolate Macadamia  and the Sausalito Milk Chocolate Macadamia cookie, but the white chocolate has an extra sweetness that really makes the nutty flavor shine. Can't go wrong with either of these!

Pepperidge Farm 2. Chessmen

2. Chessmen

Are you the person who orders the shortbread cookie when the Girl Scouts do their annual sale? If so, this is the cookie for you. These are so soft and buttery they practically melt in your mouth. Fair warning: A full bag of these disappears very quickly, and the mini version go even faster. And unlike Girl Scout cookies, these are available all year.

Pepperidge Farm 1. Milano Dark Chocolate

1. Milano Dark Chocolate

These simple cookies are the best Pepperidge Farm has to offer, and are pretty close to perfection when it comes to packaged cookies. The crispy, oblong sandwich with chocolate in the middle is expertly sized,  and endlessly satisfying. Pick your chocolate preference—dark or milk—and indulge.
