Listen. We've talked a lot about wine trains, beer trains, and even tequila trains here at Delish, but we don't talk often enough about how to drink your way through some gorgeous scenery on your own terms. Enter: the Colorado Spirits Trail, a comprehensive distillery tour through the Centennial State.

There are 61 different curated spots to hit, and while that may seem like an undertaking, the good people over at CST give you a reason to hit 'em all—anyone who does in the year 2020 will be entered into a lottery to win "40 bottles of spirits selected randomly from the participating distilleries." You keep track of how many distilleries you visit over the course of the year right here for prize-winning purposes. So! Do I need to say anything more or can I tell you about some of the coolest spots on the trail now? (P.s. Drive safely!)

10th Mountain Whiskey

Everything about the distillery (and its titular alcohol) is a tribute to the 10th Mountain soldiers who arrived at the Rocky Mountains in the 1940s. That said, it's meant to be enjoyed by all those who "enjoy the mountain lifestyle."

Where to find it: 227 Bridge St, Vail, CO, 81657

3Hundred Days of Shine

Legit Colorado moonshine! Made in absurdly niche and cool flavors! Apple Pie, Margarita Moon, Summertime Strawberry Lemonade, Firebomb, Peach Cobbler, and Colorado Honey, to be specific!

The sheer volume of what goes on at this distillery is overwhelming (guys, the space is 5,000 feet!), but Rocker does a good job of pointing you in the right direction. Kill Dills, anyone?
