This is shaping up to be the hottest wrap battle since Kendrick vs. Drake!
In early July, McDonald's finally brought back its beloved Snack Wraps—the chain's take on a chicken wrap. Prior to the relaunch, other fast food chains hopped on the chicken wrap bandwagon, introducing their own versions of the easy handheld snack.
Since the return, however, things have been heating up, both inside the wraps (spicy versions!) and on social media. Popeyes even released its own diss track shading the double arches.
Naturally, with so many contenders in the wrap game, we had to see for ourselves what all the fuss was about. Enter: a Delish taste test. I tried all of the chicken wraps I could get my hands on to see how they all compare to one another, and let me just say, there's not a bad one in the bunch. However, some are significantly cheaper than others, while some chains boast multiple flavors, or even crispy and grilled versions. Here's what you need to know about each chain's take on the tried-and-true chicken wrap.
McDonald's
The Snack Wrap originator, McDonald's, has recently brought back its iconic menu item after almost a decade, to much fanfare. The Snack Wrap, which is just $2.99, comes in Ranch and Spicy versions. Each wrap comes filled with crispy chicken, lettuce, cheese, and either ranch or spicy sauce.
If you're deciding between the two, the Spicy wrap really brings it in terms of heat, making it a great option for any spice lover. The wraps are definitely heavy on the lettuce filling, and unfortunately, many fans are disappointed by some of the changes McDonald's has made to the popular menu item. While there's nothing inherently wrong with the snack wrap, it's unfortunately the last one I would consider purchasing again.
Pros: The Spicy wrap packs some serious heat.
Cons: The chicken could have been crispier, and there could be more customization options.

Wendy's
Wendy's is also churning out three different chicken wraps ($6.59 for one or $10.59 for a double) for customers to choose from. First up is the Grilled Chicken Wrap, which includes herb-marinated grilled all white meat chopped chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, and ranch sauce, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. Then, you also have both the Classic Chicken Wrap and Spicy Chicken Wrap.
These both come with breaded all-white meat 100% Canadian chicken breast, lettuce, ranch, and shredded cheese, with the big difference being how the chicken is breaded for each. The Spicy wrap's breaded chicken is both marinated and breaded in a blend of peppers and spice, giving it an extra kick.
This wrap is the heftiest of the bunch, making it a full meal in and of itself. There is no shortage of filling in Wendy's wraps, but I personally could do with a bit less lettuce. The Grilled Chicken Wrap debuted two years ago and gives customers a healthier way to wrap. It's a great option when you're on the go, but I can't lie—I wish there was some added spices or a little something extra to make this one stand out from the pack. It's tasty and I would eat it again, but it wasn't particularly memorable.
Pros: One option features chicken that is both marinated and breaded in a blend of peppers and spices, giving it an extra kick. It's also the largest chicken wrap.
Cons: The Grilled chicken wrap was lackluster, and this is the most expensive chicken wrap on the list.

Popeyes
Three seems to be the magic number when it comes to chicken wraps. That's the number of different flavors many chains seem to have on their menus, among them, Popeyes. The infamous chicken chain's iterations come in Classic, Spicy, and Honey Mustard. Each includes hand-breaded and battered chicken tenders, lettuce, shredded cheese, and pickles for $3.99.
As expected, the chicken is the star here. After all, the wraps feature the same flavorful chicken you've already come to know and love. What really makes these wraps stand out from their competitors is the addition of pickles. It gives the wraps a briny burst of vinegary flavor and complements the crispy, crunchy chicken. Each version is tasty in its own right, it just depends on what you're in the mood for!
My only gripe with Popeyes is that I've found them to be a bit inconsistent. In one order I had perfectly tasted wraps, and in another, I was disappointed that none of the shredded cheese was melted and stuck together in clumps, giving you some bites with and some bites without. It likely all comes down to who is preparing your order.
Pros: This wrap contains pickles, and the chicken is one of the crispiest on this list.
Cons: The wraps were inconsistent from one order to another.

Burger King
Burger King has three different options when it comes to its Royal Crispy Wraps—the Classic, which comes with white meat chicken breast fillets, Royal sauce, tomato, and lettuce; the Honey Mustard Royal Crispy Wrap, which has all the same fillings but uses a sweet honey mustard sauce in lieu of Royal sauces; and finally the Fiery Royal Crispy Wrap which features a white meat chicken breast fillet coated in triple pepper fiery glaze and all of the Classic wrap fillings. Each wrap retails for $2.99, comes wrapped in a flour tortilla, and makes for a great little dish.
The Classic really allows the seasoning on the chicken to shine through, while the honey mustard iteration makes everything taste sweeter. The difference between the wraps is most notable when it comes to the Fiery version, which seems like a crispier piece of chicken and is truly spicy (and tbh, not as well wrapped due to the larger piece of chicken).
All of the wraps were truly enjoyable, but I wish the Classic and Honey Mustard had chicken breading that was a bit crispier to provide some textural contrast. The flavors were spot on, though. It's hard to pick a favorite of the bunch, but I would 100% buy these again.
Pros: The Fiery Chicken Wrap had extra-crispy chicken.
Cons: The chicken in the Classic and Honey Mustard wraps was not as crispy.

Sonic
Just in the nick of time to throw their hat in the wrap battle ranks, earlier this month, Sonic released two new Crispy Chicken Wraps of its own—the Cheesy Baja and Honey Chipotle, which also make for the cheapest of all wrap options at just $1.99 a piece. The Honey Chipotle wrap includes all-white meat crispy chicken tenders, lettuce, tomatoes, melted cheddar cheese, and honey chipotle aioli wrapped in a flour tortilla, while the Cheesy Baja includes the same fillings with the addition of zesty Baja sauce instead of the chipotle sauce.
What really stuck out to me about Sonic's wraps is the ideal ratio of ingredients inside. There wasn't too much or too little of any one ingredient—instead, they all cohesively worked together to create the perfect bite. While I really enjoyed both wraps, it was the Honey Chipotle that slightly edged out the Cheesy Baja thanks to its robust flavors.
Plus, I found the chicken to be well-seasoned, and the wraps were indeed well wrapped. If I had to pick an overall chicken wrap to double back for first, I'd go straight to Sonic.
Pro: It's the cheapest chicken wrap option, and it has the perfect ratio of ingredients.
Con: There is no plain option offered.
