Even after McDonald's managed to listen to customer concerns and make some major changes to its menu this year, it still remains a mystery as to why the company has yet to address why its ice cream machines are ALWAYS broken or malfunctioning. We may not ever get a clear answer from the restaurant itself, but at least we'll always have this brutal theory about the issue from Wendy's.
Wendy's has gained quite the social media following this year thanks to the brand's ability to deliver some pretty sick burnsto internet trolls and competing fast food restaurants alike via Twitter. But last week, the brand took its social media savagery to Reddit to host an "Ask Me Anything," and the entire thing pretty much ended exactly how one would've expected. Wendy's used the session as an opportunity to answer some fan questions, but not before throwing a quick jab at McDonald's. When one Reddit user asked the brand the million dollar question regarding McDonald's ice cream machines, Wendy's responded with, "Same reason they serve round burgers, because they cut corners." Ouch.to internet trolls and competing fast food restaurants alike via Twitter. And that wasn't the only time Wendy's took the opportunity to throw a little shade. When another user asked why the restaurant's frosty machine never breaks, Wendy's took another jab aimed at no one in particular. Another round of applause for whoever Wendy's social media manager is.
But it obviously wasn't just about the jokes. Wendy's gave credit where it was due when it came to questions about other brands who are using social media to build a fan base.
