Kids aren't the only ones who can count on having a good time at any given Disney park. Now that Disney has rolled out an impressive lineup of delicious holiday cocktails, waiting in long lines and walking through crowded areas in the theme park just got that much more bearable. If you plan on spending part of your holiday season at the happiest place on earth, read on to find out which festive holiday concoctions you absolutely need to try at Disney.
1. Black Cherry Bourbon Hot Chocolate
Chocolate and cherries are two things that just go together. And when you throw in a little bit of bourbon you're sure to be in for a very wild and very delicious ride. This delightful drink, which can be found at Dockside Diner during the Flurry of Fun event, is made with hot cocoa, black cherry bourbon, and marshmallow syrup topped off with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
2. Pecan Chicory Espresso Martini
Think of this as a spiked cup of coffee. Disney's Pecan Chicory Espresso Martini is made with pecan vodka, chicory liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup, and you can find it at Paddlefish in Disney Springs.
3. Apple Riesling Wine Slushy
After a long day walking around the park, you'll definitely be in need of a refresher. Why not kill two birds with one stone and give yourself a slight buzz at the same time? You can get your hands on one of these sweet wine slushies at Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs.
4. Tropical Snowstorm
The holiday season isn't exactly the warmest time of the year, but at least taking a sip of this cocktail will make you feel like you're somewhere in the tropics. Located in Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Tropical Snowstorm is made with Bourbon, coconut rum, cream of coconut, falernum, and cinnamon all poured into a glass rimmed with toasted coconut.
5. Pomegranate Mule
Moscow Mules are great, but you haven't lived until you've switched it up and tried out this Pomegranate Mule from Disney California Adventure. The drink is comprised of vodka, pomegranate juice, pomegranate syrup, and ginger beer, and it's garnished with pomegranate seeds and mint.
6. Sam's Slay Ride
Sam's Slay Ride is located at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar, and it's a combination of honey whiskey, orange, and ginger liqueurs mixed with lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, and a pineapple, orange, and guava juice fusion.
7. Napa Rose S'more
This adult dessert drink is made with dark crème de cacao, bourbon, Licor 23, mescal, and coffee, all topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. You can try it out at Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
8. Very Merry Moonshine
Take a trip to Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs if you're ever in the mood to liven up a cup of eggnog. The restaurant serves moonshine in many forms, and this take combines the alcoholic drink with Kahlua, eggnog, and nutmeg all garnished with a cinnamon stick.
9. Hot Chocolate Flight
Just in case the Black Cherry Bourbon Hot Chocolate isn't enough to satisfy your boozy chocolate desires, you can head to Flurry of Fun to try out a whole trifecta of spiked hot chocolate that includes the aforementioned Black Cherry Bourbon, Caramel Irish Cream Hot Chocolate, and a Hot Chocolate Martini.
10. Poinsettia Cocktail
Don't think that Disney's lineup of holiday cocktails excludes Champagne lovers. At Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disneyland, you'll be able to get your hands on a Poinsettia Cocktail made with orange liqueur, cranberry juice, and Champagne with an orange zest garnish.
11. Winter Wonderland
Forget candy canes. All you need to get yourself into the holiday spirit this year is Morimoto Asia's Winter Wonderland cocktail, made with vodka, peppermint schnapps, and white chocolate liqueur.
12. Gluhwein (Hot Spiced Wine)
Get your red wine fix and warm yourself up with Disney's take on a classic German beverage. The warm spiced wine is available at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, Germany in Epcot, and it's made with Cabernet Sauvignon, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, anise and sliced orange.
