There's nothing better than road-tripping through small towns in the south and laughing out loud at some of the signs you see along the way.
Sometimes if you're lucky, you might even get to witness a bit of good-natured rivalry between businesses that decide to use their storefront signs to throw hilarious jabs at one another. That's what went on with two chain locations in West Mobile, Alabama: Chick-fil-A and Moe's Bar B Que.
Customers have been laughing for weeks about this friendly feud that all began with Chick-fil-A innocently advertising a new sandwich with a sign saying, "Try our new smokehouse BBQ sandwich!"
The Moe's Bar B Que across the street took it as a major insult and decided to taunt Chick-fil-A with its own sign. "I thought we were friends," it read, finishing with the ultimate low blow: "Open Sundays."
But oh, no — this sign war did not end there.
Chick-fil-A wrote back about wanting to be friends with Moe's again, but Moe's replied that it had already moved on to someone new — the Diamonds gentlemen's club, which is a few doors down. Oh, the drama!
Of course Chick-fil-A wouldn't give up. "Any way we could get a look at that white BBQ recipe ... " the restaurant replied, referencing the barbecue joint's famous sauce. Naturally, the answer was "when pigs fly."
