Over the past year, Burger King has toyed with the emotions of mac 'n' cheese and Cheetos lovers alike, after adding their novelty mash-up dish, Mac n' Cheetos, to their menu not once, but two times. Mac n' Cheetos, which are simply fried sticks of macaroni covered in Cheetos dust, were originally introduced by the franchise last summer in partnership with Frito-Lay, and the snack was only on sale while supplies lasted. They were taken off the menu once supplies ran out but high demand for the product from customers lead to the snack being brought back in May, again, for a limited time.
Now the fast food giant is bringing them back for a third time — sort of. Since they're no longer available at the restaurants, customers who are still looking to get their Mac n' Cheetos fix can head over to Walmart.com (or a local Walmart), where boxes of the dish are being sold for just under $5. It seems like it's a pretty sweet deal, too. Back when they were listed as an item on the restaurant's menu, they were being sold for $2.50 a container. The box being sold at Walmart is 14.4 oz., so you'll likely be getting a little more for your money, on top of already being able to enjoy the snack in the comfort of your own home.
It goes without saying that Twitter's reaction this news is priceless.
Now, if only we could buy cheesy tots in-store.
