If you worried you missed your shot at a job at Amazon, don't fret: The company's hiring another 50,000 people as part of its first-ever "Amazon Jobs Day" on Aug. 2. While these won't be work-from-home positions, about 3/4s of the positions are full-time — which comes with health and disability insurance, retirement savings plans and company stock.

About 10,000 jobs are part-time positions at the company's sortation centers, helping prep packages for shipping, GeekWire reported. Amazon's expected to make thousands of job offers that day to people who apply on-site, at its fullfillment centers in Maryland, Tennessee, Ohio, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Washington, New Jersey, Illinois and Indiana.

The ecommerce company also plans on hosting off-site hiring events in Buffalo, New York, and in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, that day. You can find more details here.

You love shopping at Amazon, but how would you like working for them from the comfort of your couch? The idea might not be so farfetched thanks to the company's Virtual Customer Service program.

On Thursday, Amazon announced it will be adding more than 5,000 new part-time roles over the next year which allows employees to work from home as an agent in its customer service organization.

Along with being able to work remotely, part-time employees who work 20 hours a week or more will be able to receive company benefits like paid time off, savings plans and health care.
