One design company is about to get grilled.

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay has just filed a lawsuit against custom furniture maker Jamie Stern Designs over a $19,000 leather sectional sofa he ordered from them, which he claims was "intolerably uncomfortable to sit on for any extended period of time."

Bobby Flay's lawyer declined to comment. Jamie Stern Designs did not immediately return request for comment.

According to the suit, Flay had the sofa delivered to his apartment in New York in February 2016. He found the sofa "deficient" and says Jamie Stern refused to reimburse him or repair the "unusable" sofa, after he complained "numerous times." He claims Jamie Stern Designs is violating an implied warranty because the sofa "could not be used for the ordinary purpose for which a sofa is used."

Flay is seeking damages to recoup the cost of the sofa, plus any prejudgment and post-judgment interest.
