1. It Was Modeled After A Breakfast Favorite

The cereal, which has been around since 1984, aimed to mimic the flavor of cinnamon sugar toast, and honestly, they got it pretty spot on.

2. It's Crazy Popular

Proof that there's nothing like sugar to make your morning—CTC is the most popular cereal in 54 percent of states. TBH, I'm surprised that number isn't even higher. The second most popular? Special K.

3. The Mascot Has A Name

You know the plump guy you used to see on the front of the box wearing a chefs hat? That's the original mascot, Chef Wendell. He first appeared on boxes and commercials in 1987, and kids totally dug him.

4. But He Got Canned

In 2009, General Mills decided to give Chef Wendell the axe and use the Crazy Squares as a mascot, instead.

5. They've Experimented With Other Flavors

You may remember seeing some other flavors over the years—there was Peanut Butter Toast Crunch:

Chocolate Toast Crunch:

And even Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch:

But the most popular of all was the French Toast Crunch.

And you were a total rock star if you ate it with actual maple syrup.

6. You Can Vape It

You absolutely read that correctly. Apparently, CTC is such a beloved flavor, it's been turned into an E-cigarette flavor. Put that in your pipe vaporizer and smoke it.

7. They're Changing With The Times

CTC gets it—we're living in an era where social media reigns supreme. And like, pics or it didn't happen. They released a set of bowls with the slogan #SquadBowls (for you to eat the cereal with your squad, obvs), and even made a Selfie Spoon. What a time to be alive.

8.  It's Taylor Swift's Favorite Cereal

T-Swift revealed her comfort foods of choice are "Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal or Pop-Tarts." I mean, it's got that cinnamon, sugar thing that you like.
