McDonald's is a life-saver when you're craving a burger and fries on the fly, but waiting forever for your meal can be such a pain. So here are all the ways you can get your food faster at Micky D's.
1. Order condiments when you order your meal. Please, if you want ketchup with your meal, don't wait until I hand you your food to let me know. Say so when you order your meal so I can have it in the bag and ready for you.
2. Specify your meal size. Want a medium? Say that so I don't have to interrupt you mid-order to ask you what size fries/drink you want.
3. Ignore the greeting at the drive thru speaker box and order just your meal. Most of the time it's just a pre-recorded greeting (sorry if I just shattered the illusion), so order your meal instead of wasting time asking the speaker box to repeat itself.
4. Think about what you want to order before you get to the register. You know what will help your order get done faster? If you order it faster. Don't stand there pondering your meal while I get super annoyed sit patiently waiting for you to make up your mind. But seriously, what were you doing during the five minutes you were waiting in line? (Answer: snapchat.)
5. Always order a drink if you're getting a combo meal. Every meal comes with a fry and a drink, so make sure you let me know what kind of drink you want.
6. Pull into a parking space if you're going to dig through the bag to make sure everything is there. This won't help you get your food faster, but it will definitely help all the people sitting in line behind you to get theirs faster.
7. Don't order chicken. Chicken isn't the most popular menu item, so the cooks don't make chicken regularly. It's often made when it's ordered, so you'll have to wait a few minutes for it to cook. If you're in a hurry, a Big Mac might be your best bet because hamburger meat is cooked more regularly.
8. If you're only ordering a drink, skip the drive thru. Your drink will only take 10 seconds to make, but you might be waiting in line behind the five McDoubles, large #1, and three McFlurry car ahead of you. It'll probably be quicker to order your drink inside.
