People have a history of campaigning for some pretty insane—and sometimes wonderful—things. Like changing the national anthem to R. Kelly's 2003 hit "Ignition (Remix.)." Or converting a national park into an actual Jurassic Park (wooly mammoths optional). People even petitioned to "lift the embargo" to allow the import of Kinder Surprise Eggs into the U.S. –probably the most important petition of them all.

The most successful campaign so far, however, has to do with Taco Bell. 45,000 people and counting are members of the Beefy Crunch Movement, dedicated to bringing back the most "amazingly tasty burrito ever." For five years, these dedicated foodies have been trying to get back this cult classic.

Taco Bell has heard you, children of the burrito. They are bringing back not one but two fan favorite menu items: the Beefy Crunch Burrito and the Cheese Double Beef Burrito. They'll be hitting Taco Bells nationwide—very very soon.

Honestly, this is heartwarming. That an entire group of burrito enthusiasts have been so dedicated to their cause that they actually managed to influence an entire restaurant chain, this may be the modern American dream.

As a thanks to these vigilant citizens, Taco Bell has also posted the World's Longest Thank You Note to The Feed, Taco Bell's blog. Included in their lovely not-so-little letter are some anecdotes and videos demonstrating the crazy things fans have done in the name of love for Beefy Crunch Burrito.

If this is the result of living mas, I can't wait to see what comes in the future. Perhaps the Bell Beefer or their infamous Chili Cheese Burrito (possibly still available in secret).
