In an interview with The Daily Mail promoting her new fitness collection — Rosie for Autograph Active — actress / model / designer Rosie Huntington-Whitely got specific about just how she maintains her world-famous body...AFTER she's done eating lemon tea cakes.

1. She never skips meals.

"Never miss meals for the sake of saving calories," she says. "Breakfast is really important for me and sets me up for the day."

2. She always eats before and after she works out.

Rosie usually goes for a high-protein breakfast of eggs and spinach before the gym, then drinks a fresh green smoothie after she works out. That's a green smoothie. Not a green juice. Green juice is just fancy sugar water. If you want the full nutritional benefits of all those fruits and veggies, smoothies made with whole foods and no added sweeteners are the way to go.

3. She cooks for herself at home.

Rosie is not about that take-out / frozen food life. "I'm a real foodie but when I'm at home I try and cook very nutritious, organic and basic foods and when I'm out I'll enjoy myself, but try and make healthy choices." She also fancies herself a baker: she's been known to show off her skills on her Snapchat, RosieHW.

4. She doesn't worry about "water weight."

Rosie always tries to drink 8 cups of water every day before lunch, especially if she has a lingerie shoot or red carpet event. "I try to avoid carbs [in those cases] and try to drink as much water as I can to keep hydrated."

5. She constantly mixes up her routine at the gym.

"I find that alternating work outs and mixing interval, low and high intensity training really helps," Rosie told the Daily Mail. "I love to mix in Pilates and fun dance classes too." Rosie also recommends finding a gym partner, trainer, or instructor who really inspires you and can help motivate you to get your butt to the gym in the morning.
