There are people who eat salads, and then there are people who eat this.
Tym Bussanich is a hungry man with a plan. A White Castle slider and pizza plan. On Tuesday, the amateur chef posted a video of his ode to the famous fast-food chain and everyone's favorite sixth food group, pizza.
"I was sitting on the couch thinking about what I was going to create next and was plotting my next viral dish," Bussanich wrote in an email to SFGate. "When I got up and took some White Castle burgers out of the freezer to have a snack, then it clicked."
"I got a little giggle and decided I am going to put it on a pizza, then decided what sides I wanted with it ... then it was on."
Bussanich's creation features White Castle cheeseburger sliders atop a pizza, with extra cheese, mushrooms and onions added. Because, why not?
The pizza has earned its share of opinions on social media on Wednesday, with people weighing in on whether they'd be interested in partaking in a slice.
This isn't the first time the Kelso, Wash. resident has made food news for his creations. Bussanich's McDonald's cheeseburger fries, a bacon and cheddar deep-fried tater tot sandwich and even cheese-injected fries have made their rounds on food blogs as soon as they're posted to social media.
Bussanich and his food photos have earned him 21,000 followers on Instagram, so far.
How does Bussanich come up with his creations? He says he just looks at food differently than other people.
"Society has always said a nugget is chicken that's breaded and fried," Bussanich wrote. "I say, 'Why can't I do that with a burrito or some other fun type of food?' To me, fries should come in any form of food that I choose to create."
When asked how he would describe his food, Bussanich said, "I create foods you want, but you can't have! The dishes I create are never before seen and the world's first!"
