If the guys behind the wildly popular YouTube channel Epic Meal Time know one thing, it's extreme food.  They've proved this to us before—we're still marveling at their 146,800-calorie mega Oreo—but now they're at it again. In their most recent video, the madcap chefs brought pizza beyond the point of no-return.  Behold: Double-Sided Pizza.

In the video, Harley uses two types of bacon, cheese, pepperoni, onion, green peppers to tackle the mega-pizza that makes dreams a reality. Bacon-lovers, bacon is a must-have here.  He starts by flattening the dough and adding sauce and fix-ins to the first side.  After 5 to10 minutes in the oven, he immediately moves the pan to the freezer to "shock the cheese" and solidify the pizza—and that's only half the battle.

Now comes the most advanced step of skillfully flipping the pie onto a second tray and adding a handful toppings to the other side.  After another cook cycle, Harley moves the pizza from oven to freezer a second time to hold everything together, then the pizza is ready to be cut and consumed.  You can tell just by looking at it that eating a full double-sided slice is no small feat.

On the one hand, the double-sided pizza appears to be over-the-top, almost gluttonous. On the other, it's actually a forward moving and efficient idea. Why cook things on just one side of a pizza when both sides could be topped? If we're not making double-sided pizza, we're actually wasting precious surface area. And we wouldn't want to do that, would we?
