If anyone needed more of a reason to obsess over Chipotle, Mark Rantal just did the whole world a favor. The graphic designer from Colorado Springs, CO has had Chipotle for lunch for the past 106 days. But aside from establishing new #ChipotleGoals for all of us, the burrito addict says that eating a burrito bowl a day "simplified" his diet and saved him money.
CAN WE GET AN AMEN?
On his 100th day of happily lunching at the Mexican chain, Rantal hosted an open forum on Reddit, where users could ask him anything about this experience. According to the AMA, he ordered the same thing every day: A burrito bowl with white rice, pinto beans, fajitas, sofritas, mild salsa, corn, medium salsa, cheese and lettuce, a bag of chips, and a cup of water. Sounds good, but has heard that carnitas are back on the menu?
After months of eating that for lunch everyday, Rantal says he only gained 14 points. Some might say that's quite a few lbs, but people fear the infamous/mythical 15 pound weight gain during freshmen year of college, which is one pound more than the cost of eating at Chipotle once a day.
If you're still not convinced, Rantal himself said he was happy about the weight gain. He admitted that after adjusting to a vegetarian diet he lost 14 pounds, which "kinda freaked me out," so the Chipotle binge brought him back to a weight he was comfortable with.
Not only that, but apparently being a daily Chipotle regular is healthy for your bank account, too. Though he admitted that the record-breaking binge has cost him roughly $700, Rantal says he actually saved money by cutting back on "wasteful" grocery trips that often resulted in "lots of fresh food" going bad.
Also on his 100th day of feasting, Rantal took this photo, standing in front of Chipotle with birthday-candle-topped burrito bowl. Can this be on display in a museum somewhere?

In case you were wondering, he's not sick of Chipotle. "Every time I hit a milestone it was very easy and convenient to imagine hitting the next," he said in an interview with ABC News.
He also told Reddit users that he only got that "ugh" feeling about 5 out of 101 times of eating the same meal day after day. Tell me—is your Chipotle addiction on his level? I don't think so, but we know those rumors of Chipotle obsession dying down couldn't be all true.
