It's been a good couple weeks for the lobster fishing arena: after the super rare, 1-in-50 million split-color lobster surfaced last week, another big boy has made its way into the public eye.

This 23-pound dinosaur-esque monster arrived at Jordan Lobster Farms restaurant in Long Island, NY earlier this week. According to CBS News, the owner, Stephen Jordan, is quite familiar with large lobsters— he's seen a number of fatties in his time, usually ranging in weight from 7 to 10 pounds—but it's been at least a decade since he's come across one so big.

"We received it yesterday morning from one of our fishermen, John Price, who's in the Bay of Fundy," Jordan told CBS News. "He shipped it in, he didn't even tell us. He said 'look in the crate.' We opened it up and we were like 'whoa!'"

While those claws would probably fill a whole lot of lobster rolls, his large size likely means he's close to 95 years old, and this geriatric spectacle will be moved into assisted living at the Long Island Aquarium. "It's almost like a dinosaur," Jordan told CBS. "You'd like to see it continue on and I think they would take good care of it," he said.

So while you can't eat this guy, you can still satisfy your craving with something else, perhaps a McDonald's McLobster?
