You asked for it, America. Walmart's exclusive Oreo flavor for 2017 is hitting stores everywhere this week — just in time for April 1st. And at first glance, it seems like an April Fool's joke. An Oreo cookie that tastes like ... an Oreo cookie?!

Technically, it's two classic Oreo cookies sandwiching a cream filling that's studded with cookie bits. So it's an Oreo cookie that's feeling a little extra, kind of like when you add Maldon to your steak with all the flourish of #SaltBae, or when you add four extra pumps of hazelnut to your hot chocolate. Go big or go home, right?

If you're a super fan of the cookies-and-cream flavor, then be prepared to freak out yet again. In a recent poll, Walmart asked customers to vote on one of three flavors that it would carry exclusively in 2017. The winner? Cookies and cream.

This insane, head-scratching flavor beat out jelly donut and caramel apple. And the decision is melting some people's brains while others are completely ecstatic about it. Let us try to get this straight: The new cookie will be filled with the flavor of the original cookie. This is cookie-inception. Market Watch puts it best, calling it "an Oreo based on an ice cream flavor which is based on an Oreo cookie."

And Twitter users are equally confused, happy, and upset:

What's even more confusing is that this flavor was already a thing last year. And we freaked out about it then, too. So now this is just too much for us to handle, honestly.

With key lime, red velvet, thins, s'mores — the Oreo idea factory has been working overtime. It's no wonder they seem to be running out of ideas with the latest limited edition flavor: Cookies and Crème aka Oreo-flavored Oreos. Now this just seems like cookie incest to us. We get it, cookies and cream ice cream is delicious—in fact, it's my favorite flavor of all time — but people, it's delicious because IT TASTES LIKE OREOS.

According to The Impulsive Buy, the flavor has been spotted on shelves and have actually been a thing before, but in eight-pack packages. As for the taste, one commenter said the cookies (surprise!) taste like Oreo, but possibly a little sweeter, "but that might just be me searching deep for something that isn't there."

If for some reason you WANT to commit Oreo cannibalism, the cookies are allegedly a Kroger exclusive, even though commenters on The Impulsive Buy also saw them at Dillons. But know this, we're judging you.
