In case your life felt a tiny bit empty without them, Doritos on steroids, aka Doritos Loaded, are back, but it looks like you have another fast food chain to visit to get your triangle-shaped crispy, cheese fix.
Doritos Locos, a 7-Eleven exclusive that launched as a limited edition product in 2014, have apparently been popping up at Burger King locations. So clearly, the convenience store no longer has the monopoly on fried snack time treats.
The tricked out chips, marketed as "a warm nacho cheese snack," are chip-shaped bites, filled with warm and melted nacho cheese, and covered in a crispy breading. Though it sounds like a triangle of gooey goodness, Junk Food Guy reviewed them when they first launched last year and apparently, they are anything but delish—think overly salty, inconsistent amounts of cheese, and a bit too dry. So we would hope that Burger King worked its fast food magic to revamp the snack into something a bit more appetizing. Only time, and our addiction to melty nacho cheese, will tell.
