An Elsa cake was ordered for a little Frozen fan's birthday, but instead of a dessert that captured the beloved ice queen's likeness, the family got this:
In case you can't tell, what everyone is calling an Elsa fail, is the one on the right.
Reddit user OfficialBigHead posted the side-by-side of the cake that was ordered compared to the one that actually arrived and let's just say the people of the Internet are not letting this one gooooooo.
Ol' BigHead didn't provide much more context but reddit commenters had a flat out existential crisis over the cake's design.
One person wrote, "This is one of the things that haunts me about the way reality works. It is possible to work really hard and still suck at what you're doing."
While ViciousPuddin (username FTW, btw) said, "The sad thing is, as horrific as it looks, someone put serious time into making that cake. Every misshapen blob, every terrifying curve and flourish. There are hours and hours of terrible craftsmanship here."
But what the commenters didn't realize at the time was that the cake was actually created as a part of Icing Smiles, a non-profit organization that makes custom cakes for "families impacted by the critical illness of a child." [Facepalm]
While the baker was clearly no Buddy Valastro, she was a volunteer who took her time to make a suffering little girl feel special.
And after all, what's happier than cake, even if it is a little lopsided.
