Oreo is known for its variety of limited-edition cookies hitting shelves. Think birthday cake, berry, red velvet, and even s'mores. But their newest cookie is a permanent addition, not just some flash in the pan—and it's about to seriously shake things up.

Oreo Thins, a delicate and crispy version of the chocolatey cookies are hitting shelves on July 13. They're the same circumference as your traditional Oreo except the crunchy cookies are wafer thin, about half the width of their traditional counterparts.They'll come in original, mint, and golden Oreo flavors.

We got a first look at the new snack and we have to say that the creme-to-wafer ratio is about the same as a standard Oreo. Yes, Double Stuf enthusiasts, you're getting less of the sweet goodness as well as less of the chocolatey crisps. But it makes for an absolutely satisfying crunch. We say definitely give it a shot before you knock it.

And though eating Oreos will never be a diet-friendly choice, the thinner cookies are slightly skinnier options. You can have four for 140 calories, while three of the originals clock in at 160 calories. Not that anyone in their right mind would actually stop at three or four...
