By We've seen some truly unique items served at state fairs, but the folks at the Orange County Fair, in Costa Mesa, CA, may have finally taken the cake—er Twinkie. For all those fancy people who wish their Twinkie-eating habits could be more refined, consider this caviar-topped creation.
The fair vendor who is slinging these treats, Chicken Charlie, is normally known for deep-frying anything and everything—including slim fast bars. However, this year they've refined their sensibilities by investing in some of "the finest caviar" to top their fried Twinkies. For the bargain price of $125, you can consume what is arguably the strangest flavor mash-up a state fair has coughed up this year, and, likely, one really hot Instagram.
Whether it's actually any good remains to be seen—only time and Yelp reviews will tell. In the meantime, we'd say give this strange creation a shot and remember, this is fancy food, so eat with those pinkies up.
