We've known for a while that the minions are getting their own movie, but now the adorable, show-stealing creatures from Despicable Me are getting their own type of Tic Tacs. And, of course, they are banana-flavored.
This is the first licensed partnership for the mint brand, and it makes sense, doesn't it? Minions already look a bit like Tic Tacs in overalls. The candy-coated Ferraro brand mints are printed with little mini Minion faces—goggles, cowlicks, and all.
Premiering next month, The Minions follows the comedic bright-yellow guys through history, from helping dinosaurs in prehistoric times to serving Egyptian pharaohs to assisting Colonial-era admirals. The flick stars our three faves in the Despicable Me series, Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, who eventually make it to New York, and later Orlando, Fla., in the 1960s, 42 years B.G. (before Gru), and start working for their first villainous boss, Scarlet Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock). You have to wait until July 10 to see the movie, but the two official—and hilarious—trailers should tide you over until then:
