Stuffed-crust pizza rocked Pizza Hut's world back in 1995, and over the last 20 years has played with that formula, adding a blend of curds and even bacon to the breaded edges. But now the ring of dough is getting kind of insane. The pizza-pulling chain is now adding bite-size hot dogs to its crust.
The news has been speculated by food sites aplenty, but the brand is officially confirming the super-meaty pie, called the Hot Dog Bites Pizza, debuting on its menu Thursday, June 18. For $11.99, you can get a large one-topping pizza circled by 28 crust-wrapped mini franks. Yes, you read that right: 28 tiny hot dogs. It also comes with a side of yellow mustard to complement those pigs-in-a-blanket on the edge of your cheesy, pepperoni pie. This iteration is different from—and perhaps more bombastic than—its hot-dog–stuffed crust counterparts in other countries (in Australia, Canada, and South Korea, a few whole franks are rolled into the crust). Because America.
