Tia Ewing was enjoying her Hearty Veggie & Brown Rice Salad bowl from Starbucks, that is until she got to the bottom of it and noticed what appeared to be a dead beetle (or cockroach —we're no bug experts.) However after flicking the critter with her fork, the Fox News anchor realized that the bug was actually alive and kicking. Yum!

Ewing sent a message to Starbucks on twitter asking for an apology for the unwelcome dessert.

Starbucks responded by sending her a $50 coupon, but Ewing, who is already a loyalty card holder, wasn't too impressed. "A $50 credit is all I got after digesting feces and who knows what else from this roach in my salad."

The good news is that technically beetles are edible, unlike what this woman found in her Krispy Kreme doughnut. But we don't think that will be any consolation to Ms. Ewing.

Sure, stuff like this happens, but we'll probably be sticking to frappuccinos for now.
