Hello Kitty loves a brand extension. There's a Hello Kitty airline, a Hello Kitty cruise, a Hello Kitty organic farm, and now, there's a Hello Kitty Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong.
Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine is the first of its kind in the world — that is, an establishment serving food items inspired by a cartoon non-cat. The dim sum menu features 37 dishes, according to TIME, including stir-fried beef and shrimp buns. All of the dishes had to be approved by Sanrio (the company that owns Hello Kitty) executives.
The official opening isn't until June 1, but the restaurant has posted photos of crowds lined up outside the restaurant and enjoying the service inside. Proprietor Man Kwong is also the founder of a health magazine and wanted the restaurant to be about clean eating, so the dumplings and noodles are made with all-natural ingredients (like squid ink for Hello Kitty's eyes).
