One of the best memes of recent history was "Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal," a series of Vines that were simple in their brilliance, showing movie clips of Ryan Gosling turning away just as a trembling spoon of cereal came near his mouth.

It was created by 27-year-old Ryan McHenry, who died Sunday from bone cancer. Soon afterward, social media users took to Twitter asking Ryan Gosling to eat a bowl of cereal in honor of the viral star.

And, magically, Gosling delivered:
