Coffee prices are getting a little ridiculous. There, I said it. Unless you're handing me a cup with double the caffeine or a latte topped with a gorgeous piece of foam art, I'm going to wish I had brewed extra at home as I hand over my money. Enter the gorgeous coffee cup illustrations by Russian Instagrammer, Illarion Gordon. If these beautiful images graced my morning mug, I'd happily fork over $5 every day for the rest of my life.
What started as a job as the Art Director on a design project for a Moscow-based coffee shop chain, Double B, turned into a daily habit (as anything coffee-related is liable to do). Gordon's wife worked at the coffee shop at the time so driving her to work and designing a cup a day became routine. Now he posts all of his creations — that lean toward the haunting — on his Instagram account, where they have been met with an onslaught of praise and followers.
Naturally, when he asked if we wanted an exclusive design for Delish, we immediately said yes. Screamed "YES!" at the computer is probably more accurate. As you can see, no hipster can survive a zombie apocalypse without a freshly brewed cup of coffee (or without this kit).
