Häagen-Dazs Japan has come up with a clever way to make people eat their vegetables — vegetable ice cream. Through a campaign named "Spoon Vege," the gourmet ice cream purveyor will release two limited edition vegetable-flavored ice creams: Tomato Cherry and Carrot Orange. Although the desserts do contain some fruit and vegetable juices and have half the fat of the brand's regular ice cream, it's still a stretch to call the desserts healthy. Still, we feel this now makes it even more acceptable to eat ice cream for dinner.

Häagen-Dazs Japan will give away 100 samples of the new flavors through its Facebook page. Unfortunately for North American ice cream lovers, there's no word that similar flavors will get released in the U.S. anytime soon.
