Monday's Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America awards were a chocolate lover's HEAVEN! 10 well deserving pastry chefs from around the country were recognized at the twenty-first annual Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America Awards at ICE (The Institute of Culinary Education) in New York City. Attendees were able to walk through the the multiple kitchens of ICE, where each chef presented unbelievably beautiful, and equally delicious desserts. Each creation was paired with a cocktail and guests were able to indulge. Here are some of the highlights in pictures.
Jennifer Yee's, Executive Pastry Chef at Lafayette in NYC, wow-worthy macaron tower.
Chef Ghaya Oliveira, Executive Pastry Chef at Restaurant Daniel, created a cherry-shaped chocolate mousse cake that was almost too pretty to eat.
Bowls and bowls of Guittard Chocolate for everyone to sample. (Hint: we visited this table a few times)
What looked like a chocolate donut was a chocolatey, smoky, hazelnut delight.
Bite-size eclairs from Jennifer Yee were incredibly creamy and delicious.
Ebow Dadzie, Pastry Chef at the NY Marriott Marquis, made a stunning coconut-lime dacquoise with mango.
