If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that we love to spoil our pups. They deserve it all just for being so darn cute! For those days you really want to go all out, a barkuterie board is the way to go. They are so cute and fun and your dogs won't be able to stop snacking!
Choose your snacks
Load the board up with healthy snacks that your dog loves, like zucchini, carrots, strawberries, and blueberries. We love freezing spoonfuls of frozen yogurt for the board as well. They'll enjoy the creamy cold treat and it's a great cool-down snack on a hot day. The frozen treat also helps slow them down a little so that they don't go too crazy too fast! And, of course, we can't leave out every dog's all-time favorite treat–peanut butter! What kind of dog parents would we be otherwise? Place some spoonfuls around the board so that they get to keep finding more of it as they go.
Add in some of your dog's favorite store-bought treats too, like jerky and giant bones. It's fun to add in different sizes and shapes here to give the board more character. Find some true charcuterie-themed treats too (and, yeah, go ahead, get wine-shaped dog treats) just to make it even more fun.
Customize it
This is where the barkuterie board really gets fun! Take some of those veggies and stamp out dog bones and paws using a cookie cutter or spell out their name in sliced mozzarella. These little details are clearly just for the humans, but it's what will make the board such a joy to create (not to mention Instagram-worthy)! Invite all of the neighbor pups over and let them dig in!
