When it comes to filling out their teams, The Voice judges are not afraid to use some smooth talking and subtle bribery to get their way. Case in point: Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and John Legend all lovingly fighting over 21-year-old Jared Herzog in night five's blind auditions.

The young singer turned three out of four chairs around while singing Dan and Shay's hit country song "Speechless;" Kelly Clarkson, the only judge to not turn around, complimented his voice and song choice but said she was looking for a girl to round out her team. Otherwise, he likely would've had all four turn around.

John, meanwhile, wasted no time reminding Jared he won last season, which prompted Gwen and Blake to make their cases for him too, giving John the opportunity to act as the middle man.

"I don't want you to be the cause of any riff between America's favorite couple," John said, referencing Gwen and Blake. "I feel like the best solution would be to pick someone who's more of a neutral party." You sneaky dog, you.

From there, Gwen reminded Jared her and Blake are kind of a package deal. That's when John brought out the big guns: dinner at the Legend house, cooked by Chrissy.

"You pick me, you get Chrissy," he said. "Chrissy cooks better than anyone on this stage, we'll have you over for dinner."

Who's gonna pass that up?! Jared, who said he's wanted to work with John for a long time, ultimately went with Team Legend. And lest you think this was all in jest, John doubled down with a tweet invite. Even Kelly's in!
