For years, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner have said they either don't drink at all or have never been big on alcohol (cheers @ Khloe, who, barring her pregnancy, has never said such a thing). And yet, over the past few months, each one of them has been very public about their increased drinking.

This begs the question—yes, begs, these are the Kardashians we're talking about!—when tf did they all decide to jump back on the bandwagon? And why?

Below, I'm delighted to provide you with an in-depth look at each sister's drinking habits and how they've correlated with the shit that's gone on in their very public lives. Don't worry about it! It really took no time at all and was not a problem! Not at all!

KYLIE JENNER

Where she used to stand on alcohol: On a 2015 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kris Jenner stated that her youngest was "not a big drinker." Per a 2016 interview with ELLE.com, Khloe said Kylie, who was somewhere around 19 years old at the time, was "not into" drinking. Last year, ahead of her 21st birthday, she told BuzzFeed she'd "never had a drink before."

Her relationship with alcohol now: Well, we know that as of her 21st birthday (August 10, 2018), Kylie and all of her sisters were w a s t e d and celebrated with drunken Barbie birthday cake. Since then, Kylie's not demurred from alcohol. She's had personalized Kylie Skin merch made to hold tropical alcoholic drinks ahead of launches and recruited Khloe to drink heavily with her ahead of another more recent Kylie Skin launch. It was very funny and they both got extremely drunk; it also confirmed the sisters' love for Don Julio 1942, a very luxe liquor.

KENDALL JENNER

Where she used to stand on alcohol: In the same ELLE.com interview, Khloe said Kendall, then 20, drinks the least of her sisters: "Even when Kendall goes to Europe where the drinking age is 18, she's never—Kendall's really focused and determined." She's since become the face of many a "Celebrities Who Don't Drink" round-up as she's believed to be the most straight-edge of the krew.

Her relationship with alcohol now: It's certainly more present in her life over the past two years than it had been previously. Kendall got so drunk on her 21st birthday she reportedly forgot she'd been gifted a Rolls Royce. She also admitted to Ellen early last year she'd gotten "MEOW" tatted into her lower lip one drunken night, saying she was "not thinking clearly" at the time. The difference between Kendall and Kylie's uptick in drinking? Many pegged Kendall's to Kylie's 2017-2018 pregnancy and the subsequent arrival of dear Stormi. Who could forget this?

KIM KARDASHIAN WEST

Where she used to stand on alcohol: Kim has also famously never been a big drinker. In—wait for it—the same ELLE.com interview, Khloe confirmed: "Kimberly does not drink alcohol whatsoever. Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it." There have been isolated KUWTK episodes featuring a drunk-off-a-shot Kimmie over the years, but, yeah. She's not historically drank a lot.

Her relationship with alcohol now: It's still pretty minimal, honestly! I wouldn't say it's non-existent, as Kim has been pictured in many of her sisters' recent Insta and Snap Stories holding a glass of something or other, but for the most part, since she's been famous, she really does abstain. The exception to this rule is generally if she's at a birthday party, holiday event, or trying to make money. She'll tell you that's because she doesn't like the taste of alcohol or because when she's sober, she's able to help her sisters when they get drunk or some such. Pre-fame, though, was a different story.

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN

Where she used to stand on alcohol: Kourtney "used to drink a lot more," per Khloe. Three kids and the subsequent breastfeeding cut into that, probably.

Her relationship with alcohol now: In her new role as lifestyle website maven, Kourt has gone on the record saying she goes "go for either tequila on the rocks, beer, or wine. If you’re cutting down on sugar, it’s good to know that rosé wine usually has less sugar than red or white.” And though she may have hit a drinking lull back in 2016, the Poosh queen is oftentimes the life of the party now. Take, for instance, her and Khloe's 2019 champagne-fueled jabbing at Kendall over her Victoria's Secret gig or her white wine-powered drunk getting-over-my-ex karaoke earlier this year, for examples. Kourtney is drinking now, and whether that's because she's finally done having kids (for the moment) or because she doesn't give a fuuuck is yet to be determined.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN

Where she used to stand on alcohol: Loved it.

Her relationship with alcohol now: Loves it.
