Drake is no stranger to the gift of giving back. Just last year the "God's Plan" rapper donated his entire million dollar budget for the song's music video to struggling residents of Miami, handing out groceries and thousands in cash to those in need. After nixing his original plan for the visuals, he decided to document the experience and back the track with the Karena Evans-directed footage of their day. Now Drizzy is back to making waves for his philanthropic efforts. While stopping by a local Los Angelos McDonalds—the Big Mac craving is real, okay!?—he tipped two female employees $100 each. *Cue the chorus of aww's*
Alongside two bodyguards, Drake was spotted at the fast food chain Saturday, January 26 by a fellow patron. Naturally, the man took to Twitter to report the surprise run-in. "Just saw Drake in McDonald's," he wrote, "...crazy."
Of course, the sighting sent the internet into full freakout (surprise, surprise) and misinformation began swirling around the web about the exact amount Drizzy donated. "He gave two female employees $10,000 each... in cash," @imajnoel said, continuing to tweet. The problem was, it wasn't actual $20k. But still, the generous gesture clearly went appreciated.
Champagne Papi himself posted his Micky D's adventure on Instagram. Captioning a shot of him ordering at the counter, simply "M."
This isn't Drake's first public show of support for the beloved burger joint. According to PEOPLE, he hosted an afterparty October 17 following his Inglewood, California, performance at The Forum, and served guests McNuggets, cheeseburgers, and fries at the Poppy Nightclub venue. That's my kind of party. There was even a neon sign in the shape of those iconic golden arches.
The guy loves his McDonalds almost as much as he loves giving back.
