Newsflash! You have not lived until you've seen someone craft a lifelike chicken nugget out of Rice Krispie Treats and fondant. We learned this at a recent stop by Caked Up Cafe, where bakers will craft a cake that reps literally any brand you love.
Recently, we tasked the talented crew to make a McDonald's-themed cake. One that would be just as majestic and towering as the Dunkin' and Starbucks ones they've made in the past. Instead of giving more instruction than that, we let the bakers go crazy. And what they dreamed up beats anything we could've imagined.
There's a mini Big Mac shaped completely from fondant, with tiny fondant sesame seeds on top of the bun. There are sauce boxes, with fondant bases, sugar paper lids, and royal icing sauce. There's a McFlurry filled not with ice cream but with buttercream, then topped with M&M's.
Then there are those chicken nuggets. Little rectangles that look so real, you will be shook. You've kind of got to see the technique to believe it, so know this: Your life is about to start now—as soon as you watch this video.
