Late Thursday night, Demi Lovato posted an Instagram story pointing out features traditionally characterized as flaws, like cellulite, stretch marks, and thighs that touch — all of which, for the record, are NBD.

But instead of hating on herself, the 25-year-old star professed self-love — no easy feat considering her self-esteem ups and downs: She's battled depression, self-harm, addiction, and disordered eating, issues explored in her 2017 YouTube documentary. "Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging, but life changing," she wrote in a January 2018 Instagram caption.

In one story image, Demi labels her stretch marks and pinches her flesh:

In another, she draws an arrow between the word "cellulite" and her lower half:

In the last, she hikes up her shorts to reveal thighs that touch rather than gap:

The common thread throughout her story is the words, "And yet I still love myself," to which the only response is #SAME. After all, stars who embrace their bodies set the stage for the rest of us.
