Finally, definitive proof that Hello Kitty makes anything cuter: This kit turns Spam — that slippery, precooked meat in a can — into a meal that's almost too kawaii to dig into. Almost.

Sold by Sanrio — HK's parent company — the kit comes with two molds and a can of low-sodium Spam, so you can make your very own Hello Kitty-shaped Spam Musubi, a sushi-like snack that's popular in Hawaii. It may seem off-putting at first, particularly to Spam haters, but the salty meat gives the rice and seaweed a smoky flavor that's surprisingly irresistible.

You'll need dried seaweed, rice wine vinegar, and sushi rice, which you can find at most grocery stores in the international foods aisle. From there, it's as simple as cooking the rice, pressing it into the face and body molds provided, and slicing and grilling the Spam until it's lightly browned. As a finishing touch, trim the seaweed — or nori — to create a belt to hold the musubi together, as well as eyes, nose, and a mouth for Hello Kitty.

For bonus points, trim a carrot slice into a bow shape. Or use a little extra seaweed. No sad desk lunches here!
