Grubhub compiled data on caffeine orders placed by .edu email accounts during the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters to determine who's drinking the most coffee, tea and energy drinks. 15. University of Southern California
USC is known for its rigorous business, film, and journalism programs, and most students work or intern while attending school. After they fetch coffee for their bosses, they order it for themselves, 33% more than at other schools.
14. Syracuse University
Syracuse is all about the traditional college experience – football, Greek life, and intense pride over a color (in this case, orange). To keep up with it all, students order caffeinated beverages 36% more than other schools.
13. Carnegie Mellon University
At Carnegie Mellon, home to several top-ranked business and engineering programs, students order caffeinated beverages 40% more than other schools.
12. Binghamton University
Binghamton is consistently rated a top public university in the country. Its 17,000 undergrads order caffeinated beverages 41% more than other schools.
11. Ithaca College
Ithaca College is one of several New York schools represented on this list. Students at this private school in upstate NY ordered caffeinated beverages 48% more than other schools.
10. University of California, Los Angeles
Los Angeles is home to so many trendy coffee and tea shops, but traffic there is the actual worst, so relying on delivery makes sense. UCLA orders caffeinated beverages 60% more than other schools.
9. Sarah Lawrence College
At Sarah Lawrence, a small private school with notable alumni like Vera Wang and J.J. Abrams, students ordered caffeinated beverages 63% more than other schools.
8. New York University
When the city that never sleeps is your campus, you need a lot of coffee to get you through the day. NYU students ordered caffeinated beverages 65% more than other schools.
7. University of Pennsylvania

At Kean University, a mid-size public university in New Jersey, the student population orders caffeinated beverages 73% more than other schools. Since they're located so close to New York City, students often intern there. Late nights on the train = lots of coffee.

2. Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Ranked #7 in National Universities by the U.S. News & World Report in 2017, MIT came in second on this list, ordering caffeine 136% more than other schools.
