Better late than never: Roughly six months after Australia got its first taste of Neapolitan M&M's, the flavor has made its way stateside. The pastel-colored candies are Target's exclusive flavor for spring — and according to bloggers, they taste just like the half-gallons of ice cream your friend's ultra-practical mom served at birthday parties growing up.

"You can smell chocolate ice cream wafting out of the bag," wrote Josh and Cat of CandyOfOz.com, who ranked it a 10 out of 10. "They really do taste like ice cream; they each have a distinct flavor."

Similarly, Instagrammer @ViewFromTheFood said it tasted just like you'd think, adding that even the chocolate variety didn't taste like plain M&M's — it tasted more like chocolate ice cream.

The U.S. package promises "chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors in every piece," so you don't have to rummage around to get the full trifecta in a single bite. Like last year's Triple Chocolate M&Ms, this one has layers of cocoa, so when you bite into the candy, it looks like you're staring into Willy Wonka's interpretation of the layers of the Earth.

Target's only selling the flavor for a limited time, and it should be hitting stores now. You can find it in the Easter candy section, alongside other store exclusives, like Reese's Golden Eggs and Dove French Vanilla White Chocolate Bunnies.

If that doesn't get you psyched to walk into the bullseye-branded store and drop your whole paycheck (because honestly, when does a trip to Target ever amount to any less than that?), check out this video of the Neapolitan Ice Cream Cake M&M's Australia commissioned cake queen Katherine Sabbath to make:
