Last-minute Valentine's Day gifts suck. Nothing says "I can't be bothered" more than a box of drug store chocolates (unless you really like Whitman's samplers, ofc).
To fix this "sucky" Valentine's Day gift problem, Jolly Rancher tapped National Design Award Winner Mary Ping and Fabrice Covelli to design a line of jewelry that looks just like Jolly Rancher hard candies and are giving them all away just in time to fix any last-minute Valentine's conundrums.
The tongue-in-cheek collection of bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings features faux Jolly Rancher candies that are the same size as the real candy and come in a rainbow of five hard candy colors including purple (grape), red (cherry), green (green apple), pink (watermelon) and blue (blue raspberry).
"Buying a gift for your Valentine sucks … Especially when Valentine's Day is right around the corner, and, well, you forgot. While diamonds might last forever, Jolly Rancher hard candy is long-lasting, too," Erik Falck, Senior Brand Manager at Jolly Rancher, said in a statement. "We're here to rescue our loyal fans from the suckiest of situations – trying to find 'the' gift for a loved one only days before Valentine's Day."
For a chance to get your hands on the faux candy jewelry, all you have to do is hop on Twitter from now until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Feb. 13 and share a personal Valentine's Day gift-giving nightmare from a past relationship—it doesn't matter if you were on the giving or receiving end. Be sure to tag @Jolly_Rancher and use the #ValentinesDaySucks #Sweepstakes hashtags to qualify.
The contest is open to residents of the continental U.S. and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. See the full list of rules here.
