For Friends fans, there's no better dream than getting to hang out on Central Perk's comfy couch surrounded by your friends. While Gunther and waitress-Rachel won't be there (probably for the best, anyway), a Central Perk café could actually be coming to fruition, and we're freaking out like Ross on fajita night.

While there's no official proof of a forthcoming café, and Warner Bros. has yet to respond to a request for comment, there is some interesting evidence that points to a potential branded coffee shop in the works.

A court document obtained by The Blast (an entertainment website created by one of TMZ.com's co-founders) shows that earlier this month, Warner Bros. secured a trademark to use the name Central Perk and its logo for "coffee shop and café services; coffee bars; tea bars; snack bars."

As Food & Wine points out, since Warner Bros. already owns the rights to Friends, it seems odd that they would take this extra step toward copyrighting the name 'Central Perk' if something wasn't in the works.

According the The Blast, Warner Bros also requested a trademark to use the name on products like toys, boardgames, and slot machines, but it hasn't yet been approved. Could there be a Central Perk café with Central Perk Monopoly sometime soon?! We can only hope.

So far, the closest we've come to living out our Friends fantasies (minus those very unrealistic giant apartments) was a 2014 pop-up in downtown New York. Fans waited hours to take a picture on the famous orange couch, grab a cup of joe, and see familiar items from the set up close, like Phoebe's guitar and Ross' Science Boy comic. Similar pop-ups have been held abroad in Sydney and London.

It's also worth noting that in 2016, Warner Bros. blocked a parody café from opening up in Toronto, so maybe they've just been playing the long game here and it really will open up soon.
