The Halo Top section of your grocery store is about to get a little bigger — and not just because the low-calorie, high-protein ice cream brand recently overtook Haagen-Daz and Ben & Jerry's to become the bestselling pint in America. Barely three months after opening its first scoop shop in California — featuring Halo Top's first foray into soft serve — the company's rolling out seven new, non-dairy (read: totally vegan) pints.

Five of the desserts are existing flavors reimagined without the milk — Pancakes & Waffles, Birthday Cake, Candy Bar, Chocolate Almond Crunch, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough — but two are brand spankin' new. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Toasted Coconut

This one would make for a killer base to a piña colada. It's a coconut-flavored "frozen dessert" (since it's not technically ice cream), using coconut milk instead of the fresh-from-a-cow variety. The whole thing's flecked with toasted coconut and clocks in at 320 calories per pint. There are about 12 grams of protein in the pint, or 3 grams per half-cup serving (a half-cup will set you back 80 cals).

Vanilla Maple

If vanilla's a little too basic for your tastes, here's a fresh twist: This dessert tastes a little like maple syrup, making it the ideal topper for a Belgian waffle. You know, in case you're not opposed to living the "but first, dessert" lifestyle. At 70 calories per half cup (and 280 for the whole pint), it's more waistline-friendly than the equivalent amount in butter. Or even whipped cream, based on USDA data.
