Dunkin' Donuts is never one to shy away from updating its menu — seasonal drinks and donuts come out almost as often as new Oreos — but recently, they've gone all out with holiday change-ups.
Last October, DD updated its entire menu to celebrate Halloween, and now, stores are getting the same treatment for Valentine's Day. Along with three new donut flavors, favorites like Boston Kreme (temporarily the Boston Dream) and Strawberry Frosted (now Pretty in Pink) have been re-named with V-Day inspired titles.
Many of these classics, like the Pillow Talk Vanilla Creme donut and Donut Be Jelly donut, are newly heart-shaped and dressed up with red, white, and pink frosting, drizzles, and sprinkles.
Chocolate lovers will be happy to hear Dunkin' is bringing back last year's brownie batter-filled donut. If you need a refresher, the Brownie Batter Crumble is topped with chocolate icing and brownie crumbles. The vanilla buttercreme-stuffed Vanilla Truffle donut is new this year and comes covered with white icing and chocolate curls. Both donuts are heart-shaped, naturally.
To get a double-dose of Valentine's spirit, there's a strawberry-frosted, heart-shaped Bavarian creme donut called the Cupid's Choice donut, topped with white and pink sprinkles. Certain stores are taking a page from the Spider Donut and selling a Lovestruck Donut, decorated with a chocolate drizzle arrow and topped with a Lovestruck Munchin in the center of the strawberry-frosted ring donut.
Dunkin's winter coffee flavors are still in stores with the festive donuts, including the Winter White Chocolate Iced Latte and the Buttery Toffee Nut Hot Coffee. Chocolate glazed munchkins covered in white and pink sprinkles will be available too.
The Valentine's Day takeover will be in stores starting Monday and will stay there through February.
