New year, new Dunkin'. The coffee and donut chain is making some major changes to its menu this season, and it all starts with the addition of two new coffee flavors to help us cope with the brutally frigid temperatures hitting the nation.
For a limited time only, Dunkin' customers will be able to treat themselves to two new specialty flavors: Buttery Toffee Nut and Winter White Chocolate. Both flavors are available for a limited time in Dunkin' Donuts' hot or iced coffees, lattes, macchiatos, and Frozen Dunkin' Coffee.
In addition to the new seasonal coffees, Dunkin' is celebrating National Hot Tea Month (we didn't know that was a thing either) by adding Decaf Breakfast Tea to its lineup. According to a release, Decaf Breakfast Tea is "a blend of premium black teas from around the world, delivering full-bodied, bold flavor in every cup," and it joins five other tea varieties on the menu.
But Dunkin' customers can also expect to see the chain's menus to get a bit shorter overall. According to Boston.com, the chain plans on cutting 10 items from menus nationwide by March. The dishes include:
Turkey Cheddar Bacon Sandwich
Ham & Cheddar Sandwich
Tuna Salad Sandwich
Chicken Salad Sandwich
Big N' Toasted Breakfast Sandwich
Angus Steak & Egg Breakfast Sandwich
Strawberry Banana and Tropical Mango Smoothies
Peach, Caramel, and Mocha unsweetened flavor shots
Some optional muffin, bagel and cream cheese selections
Flatbread
This change comes just two months after Dunkin' cut half of its donut selections from multiple locations across the country. The company claims that the shortened menu will result in "faster, more accurate service and a more consistent consumer experience from store to store" as they continue to rebrand.
