2017 was a tough year for many reasons. At one point or another, most of us wanted nothing more than to crawl under a blanket with a pint of Ben & Jerry's and tune the world out. While we have to hope 2018 will be a shade less eventful, if not, 7-Eleven new delivery service might help get you through.

There's an app for pretty much everything these days, and tons of food delivery services, but 7-Eleven's app brings together a unique range of convenient food, drinks, and everyday items. "7-ElevenNOW" lets you order Slurpees, junk food, hot foods, medicine, phone chargers, and alcohol straight to your door.

Pints of ice cream, personal pizzas, and random items like Chapstick, earbuds, and 5-hour Energy Shots are available too. Basically, if it was at your college mini-mart, it's probably on the app.

Wine, champagne, and beer are available too. When you check out, the app makes you take a picture of the front of your license or passport, then scan the back of the ID to verify your age. Verification takes less than 30 seconds, though.

While there doesn't seem to be a minimum (the app let me check out with one Slurpee in my cart), there is a $4.50 delivery fee added to the total. If you're ordering with a group, though, that's nothing. Also, five bucks for hangover snacks delivered to your door? Worth it.

Right now, the app is being tested at 10 7-Eleven locations in downtown and uptown Dallas, and can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play. Customers can have snacks, hot food, and beverages delivered anywhere within the "7ElevenNOW footprint," or order ahead to have items prepared and ready for pick-up in store. 7-Eleven plans to roll out the service to more U.S. locations in 2018.
