While we'd never sh*t-talk our beloved avocados, the difficulty of getting out the pits is definitely something we could live without. While Fresh Direct cruelly got our hopes up this past April Fool's Day, something good actually came out of 2017, as pitless avocados are now real. Unfortunately, they're not so easy to get your hands on just yet.

Grown in Spain, 'cocktail avocados' are the result of an unpollinated avocado blossom. They grow to about three inches in length, and look more like little cucumbers than normal avocados. The taste is said to be smooth and creamy, like normal avocados.

Interestingly, the skin of these fruits are edible too. So, not only do you not have to worry about slicing your hand when trying to get out the pit, any skin remnants in your salad are probably way less jarring. Holy grail of avos = found.

Marks & Spencer, a popular supermarket/department store in England, is selling these babies throughout December, so if you find yourself in the U.K. over the holidays, you're in luck.

Marks & Spencer agronomist Charlotte Curtis told Good Housekeeping U.K. the avocados are great for snacking and lunch boxes, since they can be eaten whole. Her top tip is right up our alley, though — she recommends deep frying them (!!). In case you need help in that department, this air fryer is one way to get your fry on at home.

For now, these dream avocados are a plane ride away, but there's hope. Last time we obsessed over a Marks & Spencer hit (the baby avocado), it hit Trader Joe's less than a year later. Fingers crossed for a repeat.
