Pitbull is putting his knowledge of the food industry to the test. The rapper is reportedly opening up a restaurant in his hometown, which means life in Miami is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
According to The Real Deal Miami, the restaurant's name will be iLov305, and the Miami native has plans to open it up in the former Bon Air Hotel at 1060 Ocean Drive. Alfredo Gonzalez, an attorney working on the project, spoke to a group at a board meeting in Miami this week when he revealed that the rapper had already signed a lease for the space.
"It will be a full service restaurant and bar," he said. "This project will be activating the corner of 10th Street and Ocean, which has been very quiet."
Though the new restaurant will likely be an exciting new adventure for Mr. Worldwide, this isn't his first time attaching his name to a space in the restaurant scene. He already owns a restaurant in the Dominican Republic called 305Sinco and he's also an investor in Miami Subs. Though not all of the details about the new project have been sorted out just yet, what we do know is that the restaurant will include a cocktail lounge and a daiquiri bar — so we'll be over here planning out our visit way in advance.
