It's safe to say pumpkin spice has firmly taken over the fall food-scape. There's the OG PSL, obviously, and pumpkin ice cream, and beer, and cheesecake, and pretty much everything else you could dream of. There's even pumpkin spice cough drops, for goodness sake.
There are two camps here, as perfectly defined by a fan of Andy Cohen's this week: Those who find delicious, and for basic b*tches only. Andy posed the question to Queen Of All 'Good Things,' Martha Stewart, on Watch What Happens Live this week, and she didn't miss a beat before answering – team basic b*tches.
There you have it folks, if Queen Martha says it, it must be true. Pumpkin spice is for basic b*tches only. (However, in the immortal words of another lifestyle royal, Lauren Conrad, it's okay to be a little basic, as long as you're happy.)
Cohen was ecstatic to hear the proclamation from Stewart herself, and called it the "greatest moment of the show ever."
Seth MacFarlane, who was also a guest on the show that day, did not agree. He jokingly shook his head and said "not true" before taking a sip of his drink (could it be a PSL?!). Meanwhile, Stewart just laughed it off.
Cohen also hosted a segment called "Would Martha Eat It," and asked her to try a number of foods found in pretty much any local grocery store. She tried the Cheetos and onion-flavored snack rings (she's a fan of both), but passed on the Frito pie, Vienna sausages, and Ring Pop.
She also tried a frozen pizza roll, which she thought "looked like a Greek thing," but quickly determined it was too much dough ... thumbs down from Martha. She's no snob though – Stewart also told Cohen her favorite guilty pleasure is a good ol' slice of American cheese. She gets them from her housekeeper's mini fridge, but that's beside the point.
