UPDATE: Dec. 14, 2017 at 1:04 p.m.

The unicorn food trend hasn't ended just yet. Kellogg's has plans to add a little more magic to your morning routine by giving its cult classic Froot Loops the unicorn treatment — and, this time, Unicorn Cereal is coming to the U.S. The limited-edition cereal will be released in the states in March, but the good news for any New York-dwelling cereal enthusiasts is that you have the chance to get your hands on it a little earlier than that at Kellogg's NYC.

Kellogg's just opened up an all-cereal cafe in Manhattan's Union Square where customers will be able to test out its new Unicorn Cereal before it hits shelves in March. The cereal is similar to the Unicorn Froot Loops that were released in the U.K. back in September, except that the cereal pieces found in the U.K. edition came in pastel colors like pale pink, lavender, and yellow. For the stateside edition, instead of the rainbow-colored loops that the fan-favorite cereal has boasted for years, this unicorn remix will feature red, blue, and purple cereal pieces with white "crunchlets" and a "magic cupcake" flavor.

You'll be able to find Unicorn Cereal in grocery stores nationwide in just a few months, but if you're anything like us and don't feel like waiting, then you might want to go ahead and take advantage of getting yourself an early sample before then.

Just in case you thought that Starbucks' Unicorn Frappuccino was the last you'd see of the unicorn food trend, Kellogg's just jumped on the bandwagon, giving Froot Loops the mythical treatment.

The updated look of the already-rainbow-colored cereal isn't anything too crazy compared to the multi-colored, glitter-laced foods that have come before it. The limited-edition Froot Loops come in pastel colors, like pale pink, lavender, and yellow. The box itself is decked out in glitter and features a cartoon unicorn donning a rainbow mane.

Kellogg's claims to have only used natural ingredients to give the cereal pieces their colors, and according to Metro UK, the cereal is "fortified with useful minerals and vitamins, such as vitamins C, B, calcium, and iron." But the publication also points out that just one cup of regular Froot Loops contains a whopping 12 grams of sugar. It's unclear how many grams are in the unicorn variety, but we'd expect it to be roughly the same.

The cereal is currently only available for purchase at grocery stores in the U.K., but hopefully — considering how unicorn food has become such a phenomenon in the U.S. — the cereal will make its way across the pond soon.
